URPP Language and Space (2013-2024)

Schedule

The ZOSMIA 2020 was a virtual event that took place during four days from the 9th of November 2020 to the 12th of November 2020.

Each speaker taught one theory session in the form of a lecture followed by a discussion. Each lecture focused on a specific problem, case, or phenomenon relevant to the multimodal interaction analysis. In addition, the same speaker presented in the following data-session. In data-sessions, some of the participants had the chance to show extracts of their video data and elaborate on their research topic with the speakers and other participants.

In the schedule, theory sessions are marked with the letter “T” and data-sessions with the letter “D”.

As organizers, we would have liked to welcome you all to Zurich, but we believe that the online format provides a reasonable alternative in times of Covid-19 and should not stop us from engaging in exciting and fruitful interactions during ZOSMIA 2020! Thus, we invite all participants to join our two social activities! On the first day of the school, we organized a virtual social event. We offered a platform for everyone to meet and chat in a more informal context. Furthermore, to counteract all the time spent in front of a computer screen, we offered a yoga session on the second day with our delightful instructor Raffaela Zaugg. Mens sana in corpore sano!
