URPP Language and Space (2013-2024)

Language and Space Lab

The core unit of the URPP 'Language and Space' was engaged in advancing a laboratory-style, interdisciplinary approach to language study, focused on how space shaped language, from individual interactions to global geographical patterns.

Through three research groups — Text, Video, and Spatial Data Science — language artefacts were analyzed, ranging from unstructured video recordings to semi-structured text corpora and highly structured language databases.
