I joined the URPP Language and Space in September 2018 as a postdoctoral investigator. My research focuses on human multimodal communication. In particular, I am interested in how different pragmatic factors influence the interplay between prosody, bodily signals and speech and how children learn to coordinate these different levels of representations present in multimodal face-to-face interaction in order to become pragmatically competent members of their community. Also, taking a cross-cultural perspective, my research focuses on possible similarities and differences in adults' and children's interpersonal positioning in social interactions.
