The duration of the University Research Priority Program Language and Space ends on 31.12.2024. In the final year, several events will therefore be held to look back on the 12 years of the project:
The first event in the URPP Language and Space closing colloquium provides an insight into the work of the Language and Space Lab over the last 12 years.
The event will be followed by an aperitif to celebrate the doctoral students who have graduated in the last two years of the URPP Language and Space.

The book Language contact: Bridging the gap between individual interactions and areal patterns (eds. Rik van Gijn, Hanna Ruch, Max Wahlström, Anja Hasse), will be presented. It is the result of a collaboration within the Language Contact Group of the URPP Language and Space.

An attractive poster exhibition in the Lichthof of the University of Zurich visualizes the URPP Language and Space over its 12-year runtime. We look forward to many visitors.

The closing weeks of the URPP Language and Space will be festively started at 18:30 with discussions, presentations and the visit of the poster exhibition followed by an aperitif. Further information on the program will be posted here.

The presentation of the Handbook Sprachenräume der Schweiz - Volume 1 will take place in the Photobastei. After the handbook presentation we will celebrate the big URPP Language and Space closing party.
